School Fees

Understanding School Fees

Agenda Books - $3.00 (K-Gr.2 & 6), $7.50 (Gr. 4 & 5)

The cost associated with the agenda books is $3.00/$7.50. At each grade, students learn many math, health, and executive functioning skills through the use of an agenda.

Art and Projects Fee - $12.50

Students participate in many activities throughout the year that require additional supplies. These are supplies that are either difficult for parents to acquire or supply, or where making a bulk purchase for the classroom is more economical. For example, pipe cleaners in one common colour, pony beads in 4 specific colours, or bulk watercolour paper.

Music Program Fees - $10.00 (Grades 4 & 5), $20.00 (Gr. 6)

This cost covers a recorder and a lesson book for each grade.

Recreational Education Fee - $40 (grades 5 and 6)

This fee is to offset the costs of taking students in grades 5 and 6 to participate in alternate Physical Education experiences or having instructors come to the school. In the past students have participated in activities such as curling, tennis, golf, karate, and more! (PoundFit, Boxing, Pound Hip Hop, and Skating were all covered by Friday pizza lunches this year.)

Presenters and Performers Fee - $7.50

This fee covers cultural events; author visits, guest speakers, enrichment programs, special presenters, etc. coming to TR throughout the school year. This fee contributes to whole school presentations. In 2023/24, we had Sigmund Brouwer present to the whole school and provide writing workshops.

Technology License and Subscription Fee - $15.00

This fee covers the costs of online learning tools, subscriptions, and software. Subscriptions to learning software, such as Raz Kids, IXL Math, IXL LA, StarFall, and Nessy can be accessed at home allowing parents to further support their student's learning and development.

In March 2024, we began limiting family purchases of optional items such as hot lunches, pizza lunches, yo yo's, etc., if unpaid school fees exist. Please note that this applies only to overdue fees (eg. if swimming has not happened it is not considered overdue.)
